Reason for Visit to the Clinic: Ryan’s mother Sarah brought him to the clinic because for the last 2–3 weeks he has been getting sick after drinking milk. At first, Ryan had diarrhea or would vomit after drinking milk. His parents got more worried because in the last couple of days Ryan’s symptoms have become more serious. Yesterday, after drinking half of a small glass of milk, he had trouble breathing, was coughing, and got a rash around his mouth.

Other information: Ryan has been having similar reactions to other foods like yogurt, cheese, and ice cream in addition to milk.
